After Cyanide, A.M.R. Ramesh is back with Attahasa which is a biopic based on the life story of Forest Brigand “Veerappan“. A.M.R.Ramesh clearly mentions in the title saying that the story is imaginary but the incidents occurred are clearly shown with Date, Place & Time… A.M.R Ramesh‘s Direction, Screenplay, Script is awesome… Sandeep Chowta’s BG score & Vijay Milton’s Cinemaography is amazing..
I felt the movie could have been bit shorter. Even though many scenes were cut by the censor board, the movie still runs about 2 hours 45 minutes which is quite long for the viewers.. Also in many scenes, characters are been blurred, couldn’t understand the reason behind it.. Dr. Raj Kumar & Minister Nagappa’s kidnap is not portrayed properly..
Kishore as Veerappan has given his best performances with awesome dialogue delivery & expressions.. Arjun Sarja & Ravi Kale supported the crew with a decent performance. Suresh Oberoi didn’t had much role but looks decent with the character of Dr. Raj Kumar. Bhavana Rao & Lakshmi Rai has nothing to do much in the movie.. Overall team effort towards we can see in the movie. Many of the sequences are shot in original places like Gopinatham, Kolathur, MM Hills and Minchboli forest.
The movie gives you a glimpse of the life of Veerappan, what you have only heard about and not seen. Overall Attahasa is worth a watch once.
